Comedy of Errors
Midsummer Night's Dream
A little musical south-sea island exotic extravaganza
Scranton Cultural Center
This intimate production of “Hamlet” was set in a turn-of-the-century society, just before World War I, on the verge of impending war, revolution, and chaos. This two-hour version of the play was tightly focused on the familial story of love, loss, betrayal, and revenge within a world of corruption and political intrigue. The SCC’s Shopland Hall is ideally suited for this production of Shakespeare’s great tragedy – its scale allowed audiences to be completely immersed in the action, and gave the production extraordinary immediacy, intensity, and excitement.
